Mallaig to Lochboisdale
These are some views of the islands you pass on Calmac's Mallaig - Lochboisdale crossing. Our ferry for this crossing was the MV Lord of the Isles, affectionately nicknamed Loti. Mallaig is on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands while Lochboisdale is on South Uist in the Outer Hebrides. The crossing takes a little under four hours.

It was a little choppy during the crossing and I felt a bit seasick - a rare thing for me - so I spent most of the crossing out on deck. We crossed in the evening and it was pitch black by the time we disembarked. It was fun capturing these images as the lighting and the weather constantly changed. Especially fun was the moment a Fulmar flew right alongside the ship and gave me side eye like only a Fulmar could! I also spotted my first ever wild Dolphins on this trip, but it was only the briefest of glimpses.
